Forest Management Plans
Ferrucci & Walicki foresters specialize in forest management for municipalities and private landowners, including power and water utility companies.

The first step in forest management is frequently the development of a management plan (or stewardship plan). Management plans describe a property's natural resources and unique features and provide customized recommendations to best realize the landowner’s goals.

F&W foresters begin the management plan process with a thorough examination of the client’s property and consideration of their goals and objectives. This phase includes a comprehensive forest inventory, mapping, and descriptions of forest types, soils, topography, wildlife habitat and other significant natural and cultural features.

A management plan then recommends specific management actions that should be undertaken to achieve the landowner's goals. These actions can potentially include silvicultural treatments, wildlife and recreation enhancements, enrollment in tax savings programs, or the marketing of forest products through timber sales.

We provide management plans tailored to the landowner's interests and management objectives. From simple NRCS planning documents to lengthy, in-depth management plans with significant educational components, we can provide a management plan fit to you and your land.

F&W staff includes foresters certified in both Connecticut and Massachusetts and a USDA-NRCS Technical Service Provider (TSP).

Did you know? Federal cost-share money is available to help pay for some management plans through the USDA/NRCS's Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP).
