Ferrucci & Walicki, LLC has been a leader in environmental stewardship, forestry, and land management throughout southern New England for three decades. Based in Middlefield, CT with locations in New haven, CT and New Britain, CT, our foresters help landowners improve and enjoy their property, and can help make land ownership more financially feasible.
Primary F&W services include developing forest management plans (also called forest stewardship plans), timber sale management, and PA 490 or Chapter 61/61B enrollment. All F&W foresters are Connecticut certified. Our staff also includes a Massachusetts licensed forester and a USDA-NRCS Technical Service Provider. Other services we offer include recreational planning and development, GIS-based mapping, wildlife habitat enhancement, invasive species control, and comprehensive utility and watershed forest management programs. We work with private landowners, municipalities, utilties, and land trusts interested in responsible, science-based stewardship of their forestland and open space parcels. We assist landowners with improving their properties for wildlife, aesthetics, and recreation, while also (at times) generating revenue through timber sales. We also help landowners enroll in programs for property tax reduction and cost-sharing opportunities. Municipal and land trust clients are frequently interested in our management plans and baseline reports that help guide the maintenance and improvement of forest and ecosystem health and recreational opportunities. Baseline reports are also useful for both conservation easements and Land Trust Alliance accreditation. Water and power utility companies are some of our larger clients. These companies have large land holdings ranging from hundreds to many thousands of forested and non-forested open space acres managed for many diverse purposes. |
