Forest Management

F&W specializes in the management of forests and related natural resources for public, quasi-public, and private landowners including several utility companies. Our management plans provide customized courses of action to best realize a landowner’s goals, recognizing a property’s unique features.

Each management plan begins with a thorough examination of a client’s property and a determination of their goals and objectives. This phase includes a comprehensive inventory, forest mapping, and descriptions of forest types, soils, topography, and other significant natural and cultural features.

The plan then goes on to recommend specific forestry and other land use management actions that should be taken to achieve the landowner's goals. These actions can potentially include wildlife and recreation enhancements, enrollment in tax savings programs, or marketing of forest products through timber sales.
